I work at a county court office. I don’t think it is a good idea to say where or which one in this forum. Not that I’m going to say anything bad or incriminating though. It’s not a bad job either. The pay isn’t that great, but the benefits rock. Plus we have every holiday that you can imagine off!
One of the things that we do is maintain public records. As the name implies, these records must be available to the public. But you used to have to jump through burning hoops to retrieve these records. You literally had to come into our office and fill out a public records request. Then we would physically chase down specific files and make copies. Well this is the information age. It was time that we get with the times.
We needed to go digital. But there was literally a basement full of court documents. Yea, I’ll run right down there and start scanning them in! We needed a document scanning solution which did not involve our small staff. We ended up outsourcing to a document imaging service. They came here and did all of the work for us. And now our public records are even available online.

I was asking my husband the other day about the difference between shuffleboard played on the ground and shuffleboard tables. I really thought that the game was mainly played on the ground in the outdoors. That’s how we played it when we went on a cruise out of New Orleans seven years ago. But if you really look into it, the care and concern that go into shuffleboard tables makes me think that that is the primary game the way is played.
But he said no. He said it was kind of like street hockey that is played with longer sticks and bigger pucks on the pavement versus the air hockey you can play on a table, but I don’t know. I used to have an air hockey table and they just simply did not require the adjustments and waxing that a good shuffleboard table does. However, I do see why they adapted the game to the indoors, seeing as how popular it is in senior centers and rec centers, even in areas where there is snow on the ground much of the year.
But which came first? Which is the pro sport played upon? I’m kind of interested because I know the size of pucks and the space of the play is very different from the ground to the table, and I want to make sure I practice on the right size field, primarily.

What do you do if your business has a lot of debt and you can’t pay it? The sad news is that a lot of businesses just stop paying their bills because they don’t know what else to do. This only increases their debt. Eventually, it also leads to debt collectors coming after you. If you wait too long to deal with the situation, you can end up with a mountain of debt and a court date to sort the situation out.
Did you know that you can avoid this problem by doing a business debt negotiation? This is when you work with a debt consultant to reduce the amount of money that you owe. Debt consultants work with your debt collectors so that you don’t have to.
This option attacks both of your main problems at once. It lowers the amount of money that you have to repay so that you can actually possibly afford to pay it back. Plus it settles the problem out of court. This saves you more money because you avoid legal fees plus it saves you the hassle of going to court. If you haven’t dealt with your business debt then this is one way that you may want to do so.

When it comes to servicing your favorite boat, you are going to want to keep several factors in mind. First, make sure that the money you are spending on boat parts is going to a first class company that will not only provide you with the best parts, but also back up all of their sales. You want a business that will be there if something goes wrong.
If your part doesn’t fit, will they exchange it for you? Will they ship out that part prior to your sending the old one back? This will greatly reduce the amount of time you have to wait to finish making the repairs to your vessel.
What about specialty parts? In the past, finding some parts manufacturers could be a little difficult depending upon where you lived. Today, with the Internet you can find pretty much any sort of part you’ll need right online. Missing some Evinrude parts, no worries, you can order them online and have them delivered the next business day.
Need some sort of after market boating accessory? If it is manufactured you can find it and have it shipped nearly anywhere world wide. If you’re a boating aficionado, online purchasing has opened the world of boating to you. Enjoy!

One of the great things about running a business today is that you can get employees and service providers from all over the world. However, there are some services that you should get locally even if they’re available online.
Top services that you need to get locally include:
- Cleaning services. Someone can’t come clean your building if they don’t actually live and work in your area.
- Legal services. You want to have a lawyer who is based in your area. If you’re in Tampa then you want a Tampa criminal attorney or a Tampa civil attorney to work with you. This person will be able to network locally on your behalf and meet with you as needed. More importantly, this person knows the local laws.
- Accountant. You can use an online or remote accountant. However, I think it’s always best to keep your money close to home. Having an in-house accountant makes it easier for you to track what he’s doing for you.
These are the most important services to get locally. In contrast, web services (such as web design and SEO work) can be easily obtained through remote hiring. Think about whether or not it’s better to have someone on site before you hire someone who lives out of the area.
